A patient checks in for toxin, shows a text message, and $40 comes off the bill. Somebody pays for that $40. On a 20-patient day it is $800, and whether it lands on the manufacturer or on you depends on terms most owners have never read to the end.
Manufacturer loyalty programs are no longer a side offer. Guidepoint Qsight's January 2026 industry deck says 45% of neurotoxin visits in 2025 used a manufacturer rewards program, up from 22% in 2017, on a base of 5.8 million visits. Across all non-surgical patients the share was 28%.
So the short answer first. These programs have two sides, and the patient side tells you almost nothing about the practice side. What the patient gets is published. What you get, and when, usually sits in a provider portal or a rep's email. Evolus is the exception among the three programs covered here: it publishes both, which is why this guide leans on it.
What the patient gets
We read each manufacturer's own pages on October 8, 2026. Terms change often, so treat this as a snapshot.
| Program | Maker | Published patient terms |
|---|---|---|
| Evolus Rewards | Evolus | $40 off a Jeuveau treatment once every 90 days; $40 off Evolysse every six months |
| Aspire Galderma Rewards | Galderma | Free to join, $20 welcome savings, every 100 points = $10; up to 200 points per Dysport visit and up to 600 per Restylane visit |
| Allē | Allergan Aesthetics (AbbVie) | Points on "over 50 eligible products and treatments," redeemable for savings on injectables and SkinMedica |
The Allē row is thin on purpose. Allē's terms page would not load for us, so the description comes from AbbVie's Juvéderm site and we give no point value. The American Med Spa Association reported on September 10, 2024 that Allē members could exchange points once per calendar year and were invited to an "A-List" tier after earning 1,500 points in a year. We could not confirm that those terms are still current.
Evolus also sells a subscription, Club Evolus: $49 a month for 20 units of Jeuveau every 90 days. That works out to $147 a quarter, or $7.35 a unit, paid by the patient through an Evolus login. Units do not accrue if the patient waits longer than 90 days, there is a $100 fee for cancelling in the first three months, and the offer can't be combined with any other. Club members are automatically opted out of Evolus Rewards.
What the practice gets
Here the Evolus provider page is specific. The patient gets a "Magic Phrase" by text at check-in; after validation the practice is told to "reward them with $40 off." In return, "You earn 1 Reward credit for every $40 patient checked in," and credits count toward a Reward Vial redeemed "with your next Evolus purchase." A Club Evolus check-in of 20 units earns four credits.
Read that twice. As described, the practice takes the $40 off at the register and is repaid in product, not cash. The page doesn't say how many credits make a vial.
That missing number decides the economics, and you can work out the one you need.
Take a practice that checks in 60 Evolus Rewards patients a month. That's an assumption for illustration. It gives away 60 × $40 = $2,400 in discounts and earns 60 credits. Evolus's practice loyalty page advertises subscription pricing "as low as $380" per vial. If a replacement vial is worth $380 to you, you need $2,400 ÷ $380 = 6.3 vials back to be whole, which is one vial for every 9.5 check-ins ($380 ÷ $40).
So the question for your rep is simple. How many credits per Reward Vial? At a $380 vial, nine or fewer and the manufacturer is carrying the whole discount; at ten you are $20 a vial short. Every credit above that takes more of the $40 out of your margin. If you pay more than $380 a vial, the break-even number of credits rises with your price.
Separate from the patient program, Evolus runs Evolux for the practice itself: two points per Jeuveau vial and one per Evolysse syringe, four tiers (Member, Diamond, Elite and Elite+), semiannual rebates, and a monthly subscription at 10, 20 or 50 vials with a three-month initial commitment. Galderma's and Allergan's practice-side tiers were not on any public page we could open, and we won't quote them from forums.
Does it bring patients back?
Qsight's deck has the number every rep will show you. Patients who used a manufacturer rewards program returned at a rate of 68% from 2024 to 2025. Non-users returned at 42%. We went through the full deck in our summary of Qsight's retention data.
It is a comparison, not an experiment. People who bother to enroll in a points program are plausibly the regulars already, and the slide makes no adjustment for that. Evolus's own figures have the same limit: in its second-quarter 2026 results, reported August 5, 2026, the company said Evolus Rewards had more than 1.5 million members and an all-time high of more than 270,000 redemptions in the quarter, "with existing patients receiving repeat treatments at the rate of approximately 71%." Its provider page says practices in Club Evolus "have seen up to a 2X increase in patient retention per year." Both are a manufacturer describing its own program.
Where it costs you
Three mistakes show up in the terms themselves.
The first is booking the discount as if it were cash. A credit toward a future vial is inventory you haven't received. If you discount in March and redeem in June, your March margin is $40 a patient lighter than the schedule suggests.
Second, the loyalty is to the product. Evolus's consumer terms let a member redeem at any healthcare professional's office "which is enrolled in the Evolus Program." Nothing ties the benefit to you. And brand attachment is weakening anyway: Qsight found 14% of returning neurotoxin patients switched brands in 2025, against 9% in 2019.
The last is stacking. A manufacturer discount on top of your own member pricing on top of a seasonal promotion can take a toxin visit below cost without anyone deciding that it should. Price your own program first, which is the subject of our membership pricing guide, then layer the manufacturer's on and check the floor.
What depends on your contract and your state
Rebate tiers, credit conversion and portal terms are set by your purchasing agreement, and two practices across the street from each other can have different ones. Get yours in writing.
How discounts, rebates and free product are recorded affects cost of goods and tax, which is a question for your accountant. Whether a particular patient discount or reward may be offered or advertised is a matter of state law and, for prescription products, of federal promotion rules. We cite no state rule here. Ask healthcare counsel in your state before you build marketing around any of these programs.
